Lex Sodipe, CFA, MBA

Managing Principal

Lex co-founded Edgewood Legacy with a singular mission: to acquire and operate exceptional services businesses for the long term.

With over 14 years of experience in strategy, finance, and operations, Lex brings a unique blend of corporate discipline and entrepreneurial grit. Previously, he managed data center capital strategy at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and executed over $13 billion in transaction value as an Investment Banker. Beyond the corporate world, Lex understands the challenges of small business ownership firsthand, having successfully acquired, managed, and sold a niche e-commerce business.

Lex holds an MBA from Yale University’s School of Management and is a CFA Charterholder. He lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, with his wife, Rachel, and their black Lab, Lila.

Guided by deep roots in faith and community, Lex is committed to leading with integrity and preserving the legacy of the business he acquires. When not working, you can find him hiking, playing soccer, or cheering on Arsenal FC.

Rachel Sodipe

Managing Principal

Rachel co-founded Edgewood Legacy with a shared mission: to acquire and operate exceptional services businesses for the long term.

With nearly 15 years of professional experience , Rachel brings a unique blend of creative problem-solving, design expertise and agile project management to the team. Most recently, she managed business development and travel design at The Travel Fairy, executing sales-plays to generate $1M to $3M in gross bookings annually. Previously, she held senior management roles at Stitch Fix and Macy's, where she led cross-functional design teams and directed the development of entire private brand portfolios. Her track record of optimizing workflows, reducing lead times, and driving team productivity translates directly to the operational needs of small businesses.

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and is a certified Project Manager. She lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, with her husband, Lex, and their black Lab, Lila.

Known for her high-energy, adaptable, and meticulous work approach, Rachel is committed to fostering collaboration and building lasting partnerships. When not working, you can find her building LEGO sets, playing pickleball, or traveling the globe.
